Division A is Albany's Elementary School Science Olympiad Division. (Middle School is Division B and the High School is Division C). Division A is run by a group of high schoolers and middle schoolers who collaborate to create Science Olympiad-based projects to nurture an interest in science, engineering, and technology for elementary schoolers.
Yes! Check out our Projects tab to take a look at all of the past projects we have done. We explore a range of STEM topics, including chemistry, engineering and natural sciences.
For some events, younger students may need additional assistance, but all students K-5th grade are welcome! 6th graders and up can join the Middle School Science Olympiad club at AMS.
We try to base off our projects based on topics and skills related to the events in Science Olympiad. These projects are meant to nurture an interest in STEM and Science Olympiad and may be a great jumpstart.
Check our main page and join our email list (please email us at: scioly.div.a@gmail.com) to be notified when our next event is happening. We tend to host our events on Saturday or Sunday for 2 hours in Peggy Thompson Park.
